University of North Bengal or NBU was established in 1962 as a state university in the state of West Bengal. It is located at Siliguri. It is a state university affiliated with UGC. It is the oldest university of this region. North Bengal University offers degrees of under graduation, post graduation, M.Phil and doctorate in the faculty of Science & Arts, Commerce and Laws. Many colleges are running under this university. NBU is accredited as B++ by NAAC.

North Bengal University is looking for candidates having best qualification and experience as mentioned in the advertisement released in its official website. All the following posts are on contract basis. Details are given below.

Last date: Last date for the receipt of application is 28th November 2013.

Salary:
Assistant Professor will get consolidated salary of Rs.32832/- per month. While, Research Associate will get salary of Rs.20700/- per month. Rs.16872/- per month is fixed for the post of Research Assistant and Professional Assistant. DEO and Library Assistant will get salary of Rs.15960/- per month.

Qualification:
Degree/ Diploma or masters degree is essential for all the posts. NET qualification is essential for the post of Assistant Professor. Knowledge of Computers is also essential.

Application fees:
Candidates has to pay application fees of Rs.200/- in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of University of North Bengal at State Bank of India, NBU Campus Branch, Siliguri.

Selection process:
Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview for final selection.
