Spices Board of India was setup by the Government of India in 1986 under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry as a result of merging of Cardamom Board and Spices Export Promotion Council. This agency regulate and promote Indian spices. The main office of Spices Board of India is situated at Kochi and its laboratories are located at Chennai, Mumbai, Guntur, Delhi and Tuticorin. It also promote export of spices.

Applications in a prescribed format are invited by Spices Board of India for the recruitment of Deputy Director on contract basis. Interested candidates with the requisite eligibility criteria can apply before the last date. Details are as following.

Name of post: Deputy Director.

Qualification: PG degree in Public Administration/ Personnel/ Management/ Human Resources Management is the minimum qualification required for this post.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in supervisory capacity in Personnel/ General Administration/ Finance/ Legal Departments is also essential.

Mode of selection: Selection will be made through written examinations and personal interview. Examination will consist of phase I and phase II. Phase I will be online which will cover questions from Human Resource Development, General Administration, Establishment and Personnel Matters. Phase II will be of detailed type. Shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview. All the examination will be at the centres located at Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata.

Last date to apply online is 7th September 2013 and last date for the receipt of system generated application form along with other documents is 17th September 2013.
